Some Recent Pretties!

Hello everyone!!

I am sharing with you some swap goodies that I made for my sweet friend Becky Long! We decided to do a pocket letter and a masquerade mask for our swap. Also a few extra goodies! (You know how it goes) Anyways I am glad we did this swap because it was a lot of fun!!

Here is some pics of the pocket letter:

I used Romance Novel Chapter 2 by Marion Smith for the paper and made some embellishments to go inside. I tried to stick with the pocket letter theme but I did leave some things out like the about me but I did include the letter.

Here is some pics of the mask that I altered for her:

I really love how the mask turned out!! I got the inspiration from a pin on Pinterest and of course added my own special touches to it :)

Now for the extras, first I made her a Pocket Page Layout because I really want to try and start doing this for my own pictures.

Not bad for my first one..huh! I love how it has a couple of hidden pockets to put stuff inside and I love how the hearts turned out!!

And here is the last thing that I made her for a surprise :)

It is a Julie Nutting Doll Tag Bag :) It is the cutest thing I have ever seen! I made this following the tutorial from Bona on Live With Prima....if you click on video below the link to her tutorial will be in the description box.

I hope that I have inspired you to try some of these projects out! They are a lot of fun to make :)

Last but not least here are both my videos that are over on my YouTube channel:

If you want to see what she created for me here is my video unwrapping everything:

I hope you ya'll have a wonderful day!!
Thanks for stopping by :)

May's #12Tagsof2015

Hello everyone!!

Whooohooo! I made it...I got the tag done for this month...I was beginning to question myself lol! I need to try and get them done earlier in the month but it's probably wishful thinking :)

Anyways I did as I have previous months and followed Tim's tag tutorial to the T. I really love learning all the different techniques and using them in other areas of crafting as well. To find the tutorial for this month's tag just click on the pic below...

I really loved making the flowers for this one and using the distress markers on the pic to change the effect. I also really love the vintage feel that this tag has.

So without further ado here is my version of this month's #12Tagsof2015...

The only thing that I didn't use that I didn't have was the Tag die so I just outlined the manila tag and cut it out by hand...works just as good. Everything else is how Tim explains it in his tutorial.

I really love doing these tags and you should come play along every month even if you don't have everything you can substitute.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have a lovely rest of the day!!

Shabby Chic Stickpin Book

Hello everyone!!

Today I have a quick share because there is so much detail in this I think it would be better to watch my video posted below for all the details.

I made a shabby chic stickpin book inspired by Sassyscrappers Bonnie for my friend Barbara...Since she has waited for I think two months I was trying to make it extra special...I hope I succeeded!

Ok so here are a few pics of it.....

Here is the front cover....I kind of surprised myself that I actually made this cause I think it turned out really pretty!

These are the inside pages above.

And here are some books that I made to hold the other stickpins I made to send her.

I hope she loves them!

Come check out KS4U for the laces, flowers, trims, beads to make some stickpin books of your own!

Here is the video that I mentioned above I hope you come watch:

Altered Desk Organizer/Caddy

Hello everyone!!

I am sharing with you today a desk organizer/caddy that I made for my friend Laurie. :) We decided to do a swap together and decided to do a desk organizer of some sort so this is what I came up with for her.

I hope she likes it!! :)

I used a lot of Kraft Supplies 4 U goodies and also they are having a sale right now 30% off everything....so if you are wanting to get anything now would be the perfect time. Sale ends Monday May 25th.
The laces, flowers, and some charms are from the store!...so pretty!!

The papers I used was from the Archivist Collection which I think fit it perfect because I wanted it to be vintage shabby.

Here are a few more views:

The big spools I used velcro to attach so she can refill them and keep her favorite lace on hand.
I hope she can put it to good use and will love it forever!!..lol!

Here is my video with all the details:

Thanks for stopping by! I hope your day has been great!! :)

April's #12Tagsof2015

Hello everyone!

I am here to share with you my tags that I made for Tim Holtz's #12Tagsof2015. I had a lot of fun with these tags and learned some new techniques which I will be using in the future. Unfortunately I again forgot to take pics of my process, but if you would like to see the tutorial by Tim click on the picture below.

I think I barely made it getting these done before the month ended and I had to literally clean off a 5 by 5 square on my desk to create these, but it was so worth it!!

Ok so here is my version of April's Tags....

I don't venture to far out on my own yet and usually just try to stick to what Tim did on his tags because it's all still a learning process for me.

Here is another view of them.

I really love how they turned out!!
Oh and did I mention that I was one of the winners for last month's tag? Oh yes....I am still pinching myself...lol!!!

And I got this cool little blog badge to add  to my blog..YAY!!

Thank you for stopping by!! I hope you will come along and play :)

#12tagsof2015 March

Hello everyone!!

I am here again today to share with you my March's #12tagsof2015. You can get all the information and tutorial for this month's tag by clicking the picture below.....

I kind of struggled with this month's tag because I couldn't get the colors bold enough and my butterfly image that I embossed wasn't shiny like Tim's. But I think that could be because my Archival ink is running out...better get some more. lol!

So here is my take on this month's tag....

See my colors are light almost pastel but I still think it's pretty and reminds me of spring. I think I might try to do this tag again at a later date and see if I can nail the techniques. :)

Well I hope you like it and I had fun even though it didn't turn out the way I expected.
I hope you will come play along and do your own #12tagsof2015.
Have a nice day!!

I won!! I won!!

Rising Star Challenge

Hello everyone!!

I hope your having a great day so far! I have some exciting news to share :D I have been asked to be a guest designer for Laurie Moore's 2015 Challenge group on Facebook! YAY!! I am so honored! So for the month of April we are doing a Rising Star Challenge and here is what I came up with....

I went with the Steampunk kind of them because I couldn't do the "Hats Off" challenge last month and I really wanted to do a Steampunk one but I just couldn't squeeze it in. So I incorporated the theme this month on the star...I hope you like it and here is a few more pics....

I hope you will come and play along here is the link to the challenge page:

Here is the link to her Artfire Store where you can get the star kit for the challenge:

And last but not least here is a video that is over on my YouTube channel with all the details:

My Secret Sisters Swap

Hello everyone!!

Today I have sort of a long post and it will photo and video heavy...so brace yourself!!

I wanted to share the projects that I made for my Secret Sister that I did for a swap hosted by Staplem1 on YouTube. I had a lot of fun and I'm glad I joined in.

My secret sister was Marla Rizzo and it's so funny that I got her because she is one of my close friends through YouTube and Facebook. It was a challenge to do this swap trying not to give myself away to quickly through my work...so I had to change things up a bit.

So the first thing I am going to share is the first little package I made her which was a card and I sent a small bag of goodies along with it.

....and here is the video that is over on my channel with all the details

Here is the second package of goodies that I sent to her. It is a box that I decoupaged a napkin over and I also sent a tag and a little puffy heart :) I sent this around Valentines Day so I did something along that theme. Oh and a tag too..lol

I really love how everything came out :)

Here is the video with all the details:

And my last and final package I sent to her...I thought she would have caught me on this one because I really didn't try to hide my style of work...but I still ended up telling her to go look through the box again for the reveal.

In this package I altered a corndog box, a bird cage, and made a tag card...which is my fav to do now!

Oh and I made some stickpins...

I really love the stickpins :)

Here is the video with all the details:

I also wanted to thank Laurie which is Moore Art from the Heart for helping me pull this off by mailing the first two packages so Marla wouldn't catch on...It cost a little bit more in shipping but it was worth it to surprise her!!

Thank you so much for stopping by and reading through such a long post!

Thank You Gifts

Hello everyone!

I just wanted to share a box and a tag I made as a thank you gift for a friend for hosting a swap. I hope that she really likes it. The box is just one that you can get from Dollar Tree and the tag is a #8 Ranger tag. I used the Prima Julie Nutting Doll Stamp and paper pieced her dress together....

Here is a pic of the tag and box together...I know they don't exactly match so I hope she doesn't mind that....

Here is a close-up of the tag...

I think it turned out soooo cute!!!! I love her dress and it is a lot of fun to play with those stamps :)

Here are some more pics of the box....

I especially love the feet that I used on it...I think it turned out so cute!!!

I used a lot of yummy goodies from Kraft Supplies 4 U....so head on over to the shop and check out the store so many great things at great prices!!

And as always for more details check out my video that is over on my YouTube channel:
